We are proud of what we have achieved so far – whilst fully aware that we are by no means perfect and that there is always room for improvement when it comes to sustainability. Our aim is to become increasingly transparent, so that our community can gain an even better understanding of our complex supply chains and our activities. An honest look at our journey:

• B Corp™ certification: In 2023, we achieved a B Impact Score of 83.6 (the average is 50.9). This demonstrates that we meet high social and environmental standards. We are working on improvements in areas such as climate action and human rights in preparation for our recertification in 2026. We are currently on track for our recertification as a B Corp™.

• Further certifications: GOT BAG is already certified to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS). Our next goal is to obtain certification for individual components of our products in order to become even more transparent.

Our challenges: Growth also means higher CO₂ emissions. Over 90% of our emissions are generated where we manufacture and transport our goods – within the supply chain.

Our plan: We are committed to publishing a comprehensive climate action plan with clear reduction targets in 2026. We also plan to carry out life-cycle analyses for further products in order to provide scientifically sound data on our products.

GOT BAG products are currently manufactured in Indonesia and Vietnam.

In Indonesia, our partner foundation, GOT BAG Indonesia, runs a clean-up programme in which local participants collect plastic waste from coastal areas and the sea and are paid for their efforts. Production in Indonesia helps to support the local economy.

We also manufacture in Vietnam, as the manufacturers there have many years of experience and specialist expertise in the production of high-quality, functional travel equipment.

We want to ensure that every GOT BAG has the longest possible lifespan. We guarantee that your GOT BAG can be used for two years without any impairment to its functionality. In addition to our two-year guarantee, we offer a spare parts service for all products purchased from our shop. We also accept returns of GOT BAG products and will exchange them should their functionality no longer be guaranteed.

We offer a two-year warranty on every GOT BAG order. The RE:SHELL Cabin even comes with a five-year warranty.

Should you discover a fault during this period, we’re here to help. Simply log in to our complaints portal and submit a request to have your claim assessed. Our Customer Happiness Team will then contact you with further instructions. If you did not purchase your product from our online shop, please contact your point of sale directly.

Yes, you can find both written and video product reviews of various GOT BAG products on popular platforms.

The reviews particularly praise the high-quality craftsmanship, the well-thought-out design with plenty of compartments, and the high level of comfort provided by padded back panels and adjustable straps. The waterproofing and reliable protection against dust and sand, thanks to sealed seams, are also highlighted as positives.

Occasional points of criticism relate to the interior, which is sometimes rather minimalist in design, or the desire for additional zipped pockets.

On the contrary. In their feedback on various platforms, customers consistently highlight the high quality and durable, soft material of GOT BAG products, as well as their water-repellent and waterproof properties.

All customers who purchased their product in our online shop up to and including September 25, 2026, can claim the voluntary warranty within the respective warranty period (2 years for all backpacks and bags, 5 years for all suitcases).

Statutory warranty: This is available to every customer who shops in our online shop. After September 25, 2026, we will fully focus our communication on these statutory rights.

If you did not purchase your product in our online shop, please contact your point of sale directly in case of a defect.

To use the complaint & repair service, please log in to our Complaints Portal. Our Customer Happiness Team will check if a warranty case exists and will then contact you with all further steps.

Changed your mind? It happens. You can return unwanted items within 14 days of receipt. Simply register your return using your order number directly via our returns portal. The purchase amount will be refunded to you (minus the return fee) as soon as we have received the returned goods.

If you redeemed a GIFT CARD for your order, the purchase amount will be refunded by crediting your GIFT CARD. A cash refund is not possible.

Recycling: All GOT BAG products are made with recycled main materials and processed to be particularly robust to ensure maximum durability. We pursue a timeless, minimalist design language.

Clean-up program in Indonesia: We work closely with our partner foundation GOT BAG Indonesia, which operates a clean-up program on Java. Local participants collect plastic waste from coastal areas and the sea, which is then processed into RE:PET – one of the main materials of our products.

In addition to collection activities, GOT BAG Indonesia focuses on building functioning waste management structures and local environmental education.

With part of our proceeds, we finance GOT BAG Indonesia's clean-up and education program.

In addition to the recycled plastic from the clean-up program, we use for our products:

Commitment to the Oceans: Our motto is “Together we are an ocean”. We work with world-leading ocean conservation organizations such as Coral Gardeners and Sea Shepherd, who support the protection and preservation of the oceans.
