Plastic Fischer from Cologne has been dedicated to fighting plastic pollution in rivers and oceans since 2019. Using innovative technologies, special boats, nets and fences, they collect plastic waste from waters in India and Indonesia without endangering marine wildlife. Since April 2021, the employees have fished more than 1.7 million kg of plastic waste out of rivers! The collected waste is then processed and recycled so that it does not end up back in the environment.
Plastic Fischer is also involved in educational and awareness-raising work to raise awareness of the problem and help reduce plastic waste. Their work has a positive impact on our environment, and we want to support them in this! As part of our partnership, we have financed a total of five TrashBooms to date and the collection of 10,000 kg of plastic waste this year. We are proud to be working together to combat the increasing pollution of our oceans.
