THE MATERIAL
RE:PET®
RE:PET is our recycled polyester fabric. PET bottles collected by GOT BAG Indonesia's clean-up program and other local organizations that are Ocean Bound Plastic-certified serve as the basis. The collected PET is processed by our recycling partner in Indonesia. In our endeavor to achieve a positive impact, we transform discarded plastic into our RE:PET fabric, which we use in most of our products. Want to know more? The GOT BAG Indonesia foundation operates a clean-up program that collects Ocean Impact Plastic from coastal households, the environment, rivers, and the ocean.

The PET portion is separated, cleaned and shredded into flakes before being processed further into pellets.

The pellets are processed into yarn by our recycling partner together with certified Ocean Bound Plastic.

The recycled yarn is woven into RE:PET – our polyester fabric, which is used in most GOT BAG products.
