CERTIFIED B CORPORATION™

B Corp stands for “Benefit Corporation” or “Benefit for All” and describes a global movement of companies that advocate for an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy. The B Corp certificate is awarded by the globally active non-profit organization B Lab™ to companies that demonstrably integrate social and environmental responsibility into their business practices. Since its founding in 2006 in the USA, there are now more than 6,000 certified B Corporations™ from 153 industries in more than 80 countries, including Patagonia, Ecover, or Ben & Jerry’s.

We want to constantly evolve and show that profitability and positive impact are not mutually exclusive. It is important to us that our business practices align with our values and we strive to act transparently, ethically and responsibly. We are committed to fair working conditions throughout our supply chain and strive to keep our environmental impact as low as possible. By continuously improving our processes and collaborating with other companies, we aim to create a more sustainable and fairer future for all.

As part of the extensive B Impact Assessment™, we submitted transparent evidence and explanations for around 200 questions across the five impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. Success: After a two-year process, we have achieved B Corp certification, proving our impact to date. You can find our results here.

The next certification process is due in three years. Until then, we want to continue working on ourselves, support the B Corp mission with great enthusiasm, and together with the B Corp community, drive positive change toward a responsible future for the economy.

Ocean Bound Plastic Certified

The standard developed by Zero Plastic Oceans starts where the danger to our oceans is greatest: It ensures that plastic is collected in regions without waste infrastructure before it can reach the oceans – under fair, strictly controlled conditions. The OBP seal proves complete traceability as well as compliance with social standards such as fair wages and safe working conditions throughout the entire supply chain.

Since November 2025, we as GOT BAG GmbH have held the OBP Scope Certificate. It is independent proof of our transparent way of working and confirms that our internal processes meet the highest requirements for traceability. While the main material of our PET and nylon products already consists of recycled Ocean Bound Plastic, we have now created the basis for identifying this on the product with certification in the future. Important: Only products bearing the OBP seal and the corresponding information are officially certified.

GRS – GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD

As GOT BAG GmbH, we are certified according to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) by Control Union Certifications CB-CUC-1298685. Only products carrying the GRS seal and the corresponding information are certified. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) verifies recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product. PETA-APPROVED VEGAN

Our products are certified as PETA-Approved Vegan.

We are committed to not using any animals or animal products as components in the manufacture and processing of our products. This commitment applies to both the present and the future and ensures that our products remain cruelty-free and vegan.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world and has over 6.5 million members and supporters. Its focus is on four main areas in which animals suffer intensively and over long periods of time: laboratories, the food industry, the clothing trade and the entertainment industry. PETA also actively addresses various other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds and animals often referred to as "pests", as well as cruelty to pets.

The "PETA-Approved Vegan" logo is designed to highlight clothing, accessories, furniture and home decorations made from vegan alternatives to animal-derived materials such as leather, fur, wool, silk, feathers or bone. It helps consumers recognize vegan items at a glance and make purchases that align with their values.
