Deep Sea Guardians

“Ancient, essential, and irreplaceable, sharks have ruled the oceans and kept them healthy for 400 million years but they are now disappearing at an alarming rate. We’re on a mission to protect them, because their survival is tied to ours.”

Who are Deep Sea Guardians?

Protection through research and awareness: Deep Sea Guardians (DSG) is dedicated to protecting endangered marine life, with a primary focus on sharks. Through innovative projects like "Mako Shark Tagging" in Mexico, they gather crucial data on migration patterns to combat overfishing. Beyond research, the organization prioritizes education: Their "Youth Awareness Program" has already reached over 2000 children worldwide, dispelling myths about sharks and inspiring the next generation of ocean guardians.

Real work. Clear proof.

For over five years, the team has been traveling the globe to document the reality of the shark fishing industry and government-led culling programs. From recent expeditions in Taiwan to missions in Japan and Australia, they capture the necessary images that otherwise remain hidden. This documentation provides the undeniable proof needed to build public awareness and drive tangible policy changes.
