RE:NYNET®
RE:NYNET® is a recycled nylon fabric made from discarded fishing nets. This material does not come from GOT BAG Indonesia's clean-up program, but from a recycling partner. Disposing of old fishing nets is expensive. In the era of industrial large-scale fishing, these nets are often simply thrown into the sea, where they continue to catch marine life uncontrollably as so-called ghost nets. Our recycling partner in Taiwan offers fishermen a free disposal option for their old nets, which can potentially help prevent environmental pollution. We use RE:NYNET® for products that benefit from the soft and lightweight properties of this material.

The nets are sorted, cleaned and shredded on site. They are then broken down into their original molecular components and converted into new nylon pellets.

The pellets are melted and spun into yarn.

The recycled yarn is woven into RE:NYNET® – our lightweight nylon fabric for ultralight and colorful bags.
