THE MATERIAL
RE:NYNET®
RE:NYNET® is a recycled nylon fabric made of discarded fishing nets. This material is sourced not from GOT BAG Indonesia’s clean-up program, but from a recycling partner. Disposing of old fishing nets is expensive. In the age of large-scale industrial fishing, these nets are often abandoned in the open sea, where they continue to trap marine life indefinitely, becoming what are known as ghost nets. Our recycling partner in Taiwan provides fishermen with a free disposal option for their old nets, potentially helping to prevent environmental pollution. We use RE:NYNET® for products that benefit from its soft and lightweight properties.

Il nostro partner di riciclo a Taiwan si procura reti da pesca a fine ciclo da produttori locali e aziende di pesca.

Le reti vengono accuratamente selezionate, ripulite e triturate in loco. Successivamente vengono scomposte nei loro componenti molecolari originali e trasformate in nuovi pellet di nylon.

I pellet vengono fusi e trasformati in filato.

Il filato riciclato viene tessuto per produrre il nostro tessuto RE:NYNET® – un nylon leggero per borse ultraleggere, morbide e colorate.
