RE:NYNET®

RE:NYNET® is a recycled nylon fabric made from discarded fishing nets. Our recycling partner in Taiwan, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corporation, collects end-of-life fishing nets from local manufacturers and purchases unusable nets from fisheries. Through a technically sophisticated recycling process, the fishing nets are chemically broken down into their molecular components. From these, new yarn is created. Unlike PET, nylon (PA66) can only be recycled chemically for yarn production. This process restores the same qualitative properties as virgin nylon. We use RE:NYNET® for products that benefit from the material’s light weight, soft touch, and brilliant colors.

Our recycling partner in Taiwan sources end-of-life fishing nets from local manufacturers and fisheries.

The nets are sorted, cleaned, and shredded on-site. They are then broken down into their original molecular components and transformed into new nylon pellets.
